Three generations of hospitality
For over 60 years the Presslauer-Mori family has been welcoming guests on Lake Klopein. What began as a small holiday rental is today our family project – now in its third generation.
The 1960s – the beginning
It all started in the early 1960s, when my grandparents Alfons and Stefanie Presslauer welcomed their first guests into their home on Lake Klopein. Back then, St. Kanzian was still an insider's tip – a little village nestled between gentle hills, fruit trees and the warmest bathing lake in Europe.
What began as a small holiday rental in a few rooms quickly became a calling. Guests came, felt at home – and came back again. Year after year.
1982 – Haus Irmgard is born
My parents Irmgard and Hannes Mori carried on the tradition and in 1982 opened a second house – lovingly named Haus Irmgard. Two houses, one family, one goal: to welcome guests in a way that makes them want to return.
And they do. Some have been coming back every year for over 20 years. For me, that's the nicest compliment there is.
2017 – the next generation
I'm Florian, and since 2017 I've been looking after Haus Stefanie – named after my grandma Stefanie, who started it all. The apartments are modern and newly furnished, but the spirit has stayed the same: personal, family-run, uncomplicated.
Irmgard and Hannes continue to run Haus Irmgard with the Petzen and Obir apartments. With us you're not just a room number – you're a guest of a family that has been doing this with passion for over 60 years.
