Our existing environmental measures at a glance
Our entire energy supply — heating, electricity and pool heating — comes from renewable sources. Our electricity comes from the Raiffeisen Energiegenossenschaft Eberndorf, directly from Carinthia.
Renewable and efficient
District heating supplies all apartments — low-CO₂ and with no on-site combustion.
100% green electricity from the Raiffeisen Energiegenossenschaft Eberndorf — produced regionally in Carinthia.
All light fittings have been converted to energy-saving LEDs.
Efficient air-source heat pump with pool cover — minimises heat losses. In 2026 an energy-saving variable-speed pump will be installed.
Responsible use of our most valuable resource
Lake Klopein is the warmest bathing lake in Europe — clean water is particularly close to our hearts.
Separate, reduce, act mindfully
Paper, plastic, organic and residual — colour-coded bins with multilingual instructions in every apartment.
Gradual switch to ecologically certified, concentrated cleaning products — less chemistry, less packaging.
The guest information booklet is provided on paper in German in each apartment — all other languages are available digitally by QR code only. Less paper, always up to date.
Electric mobility and climate-friendly arrival
As a family we drive two electric vehicles ourselves — and provide our guests with an EV charging station right at the house.
Through the ÖBB Green Deals we actively inform guests about environmentally supported rail travel — comfortably via the new Koralmbahn directly to Southern Carinthia.

For renovations we consciously use wood — regional, long-lasting and ecologically sound.
New build in timber construction — natural and robust.
Furniture made of solid wood, flooring of real parquet — natural materials for a healthy indoor climate.
Completely renewed in timber construction — warm, welcoming and long-lasting.
